During the last six months, I have been coordinating a technology study for my community, the Sisters of Notre Dame in Chardon, Ohio. Our team of five conducted one on one interviews with a variety of stakeholders, surveyed the sisters, met with them individually and in small groups to assess the status of our current infrastructure and to hear their dreams, hopes, and concerns.
Based on our findings, we have prepared a set of recommendations on how we can use technology to become more efficient in our work and ministries, expand our apostolic outreach, collaborate more easily with one another and those who share our mission, communicate more effectively with our constituencies, and decrease our carbon footprint. It has been a great experience for me. Our report is written and we will be presenting it to the Provincial Council and the whole community later this month. I am eager to see the response.
